We do everything in guitar repair from re-stringing, set-ups and adjustments, to complete restorations of Vintage instruments. We receive instruments for repair from all over the world including DeAngelico’s and pre-war D-45’s. We welcome any repairs - beach guitars, "problem guitars", basket cases and masterpieces. It’s fruitless to attempt a detailed listing of repair prices as most guitars need multiple services performed and some "fixes" are included in the price of others. Therefore, actual estimates have to be made on a per guitar basis. However, for those who insist, listed below is a sampling of rough labor estimates.:

Re-stringing: $25 to $30 Includes cleaning + oiling fingerboard (plus strings) *
Basic Set-up Acoustic and Electric: $60 to $80 *
Set-up: Locking Tremelo: $100 minimum *
Fret Topping: $125 (includes set-up) *
Refret: $300 & up (includes set-up) *
Bridge Removal and Replacement: $125 & up *
Neck Reset: $450 to $800 (includes re-fret) *
Fishman install: $225 (includes pick-up and pre-amp) *

* Locking Tremelos or 12-Strings will have additional charges

Consignments
 
We do accept guitars for sale on consignment, but only in certain instances. Due to the expense of retail wall space and our own sizable inventory, we must be very selective in terms of:

• Brand: Some brands simply do not sell in certain areas
• Price: Too high is a waste of space and time. There is no set consignment percentage; we determine, with you, what you will recieve upon sale and attempt to make our share above that.
• Condition: if your instrument needs fresh strings an/or adjustments, this must be done and paid for before we can display it. We will not even consider consigning instruments with major neck problems or other defects.
 

We Buy Used Guitars

Yes, we are interested in all guitars, from garage sale types through and including Holy Grail Vintage Pieces. Because we build and repair, we will consider guitars in any condition or age. We can fix and sell them (with a Shoppe warranty!) or turn them into decorative wall hangings. However, we must see the guitar before making an absolute offer. We also buy ukuleles, mandolins and any weird "what-is-it?" instruments.
